On the plane 1st class

As many of you know, Kevin and I were married in Jamaica.  Many of our friends and family were with us there in Jamaica during that momentous occasion and on other anniversaries/trips back since. This particular anniversary, our 30th, we again went back to our favorite place, Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay Jamaica.  We treated ourselves to 2 weeks this time to be spoiled and pampered.  The flights, weather, food, and service the whole time away was just amazing.  It also felt so different because we were in a room in a building. Sounds silly right?  Well, it’s a very different feeling after living in a camper for so long. You do appreciate every amenity it has to offer. We participated in games, pool games, volleyball, trivia you name it. One evening we were chosen to participate in the Lovers Game. Very much like the old Newly Wed game, they bring the men away and ask the women questions about the men and then visa-versa.  You then have to guess what your spouse answered. It was hysterical, and amazingly enough….WE WON.   Apparently, after all these years, we still do pay attention to each other (of course that means good and bad…LOL).  Days after this event people were still coming up to us to tell us how funny they thought we were and they so enjoyed our participation.  On our anniversary, the staff decorated our room and we always had special treats left for us in the evening and brought to us during the day.

But, what about our pup Calli?  Well, she too got spoiled and pampered by her Aunt Terry and Uncle Jim, who so graciously offered to have her stay with them while we were away.  Now remember, Calli is just barely 2 years old and has lots of energy. She also, however is very obedient and friendly and thankfully it all went great. They took her for walks on the beach, a golf cart ride, lots of backyard freezbee time and yummy food. (even meatballs). We could not thank them enough, but tried by spoiling them to a dinner out, some great wine and even a home cooked special dinner by me.

Our trip away did come to an end and we were back home to our home on wheels. And back to a regular diet! (thank goodness).  Our scale after this trip was not our friend. We will remember this great time yet again and look forward to when we can return to Jamaica.  Yah Mon!
