Everywhere you turn, there they are.

Two things that we’ve noticed as we travel throughout the lower 48 never seem to escape our attention. The first item up for discussion is the famous Red Breasted Robin. Yeah, these birds are visible wherever there’s grass and worms and lots of them. Like in packs. They’re not a nuisance nor do they threaten life, you just notice them and wonder if they are following you. We’re not becoming paranoid about it, at least not yet anyway!

The second varmint is the common house fly. These buggers are relentless at annoying the heck out of you all day till the sun goes down. Somewhat intelligent insects, they attach themselves to your clothing for the free ride into the motorhome. They find a cozy spot waiting for the LED lighting to come on then perform like a crazy crackhead. Lin’s fly swatter has performed well but it may be time for retirement as her kill ratio has taken a toll on the overall structure integrity. I fear the plastic swat pad may have maxed out. Calli has become quite the fly hunter and locates them with her keen sense notifying us of incoming as she tries to snatch them in flight with her mouth. She’s pretty good at it but just the thought of her capturing it, ewww,” Please don’t swallow that”!
