First stop – Huntington Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, SC

Leaving the nest!
Saying goodbye to storage
Hello Beach!
Following her dream
Calli following her dreams
A moment to ponder

We took Vamoose on April 14th to Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, SC to get her road ready, purge a few more things to put in storage and do final cleaning of our rental condo. Huntington Beach is a favorite of ours, especially the campground on the south end. Calli likes her morning walks on the beach and we love having the windows open at night to fall asleep to sounds of splashing waves. We were blessed to have several friends and family stop by the campground to wish us well and even to say a blessing. The week went so quickly! April 22nd, departure day, arrived and it was time to start our adventure. But as with all our adventures they tend to start with a few hiccups. In doing our prechecks before departure, we discovered that our turn signals to our tow vehicle were reversed. When Kevin wired the tail lights on the Jeep to match the Motorhome they got reversed.; Five minutes to make the quick fix and we were off to our first stop, Asheboro, NC. But not first without encountering a giant Coca-Cola delivery truck on the very narrow causeway bridge out of the park. We had like a hair of air between us. Wheeew!  That was close Let the journey begin!  VAMOOSE! (Let’s go)
