Our first stop in Idaho was Swan Valley and a small RV park nestled between two mountain ranges. Our plan here was to provide a close enough travel distance to Teton National Park and Jackson Hole, WY.  Lin found a great hotel in Jackson Hole that accepted dogs, so off we went for an overnight. The Alpenhof Lodge was actually the original first hotel in Jackson Hole established in 1965 and is an historic landmark. It had a Swiss Alpine vibe which made it unique.  Jackson Hole was originally set for winter activity but as the outdoor enthusiasts begged for spring and summer fun it has exploded to a year-round hot spot for hiking, biking, kayaking and extreme mountain sport athletes.  There is a gondola that at this time of year will take hikers and mountain bikers high up the mountain for them to experience the trek down. Or visitors can just take this up to the top where there are several restaurants that highlight the views.

The next morning we set out to explore Teton National Forest. Absolutely beautiful and has one of the largest lakes. We are so glad to have the opportunity to see these national parks. Pictures that we took don’t do them justice. It is amazing to see and we feel humbled to its majesty. Between Yellowstone and Teton, Wyoming has some really amazingly beautiful parks that everyone should experience in their lifetime.
