When on the road…. you go to Cabo!

Now don’t get any ideas. Yes, you could possibly drive your motorhome to Cabo, but we did not. We did get to go with all our original group this year and that was so amazing. All 3 of our families bought timeshares in Cabo together during a trip there many years ago. We go back together every 2 years, with various guests and family members. Each time the original amigos and a new group in tow.  Sometimes up to 15 of us in total. Thanks for our friends, Kent, and Patty, we were able to safely park “VAMOOSE” in their driveway while we all traveled together.  This time, it was just our 3 couples (us, Bert, Dolly, Kent, Patty) the boys (Skippy (Curtis) and Doug) and their one sweet friend Val.   Usually, we would all have our golf clubs with us and spend several days playing golf, but this trip we chose to just relax and spend friend time together.  The days were all sunny and cooler than the hotter months we had gone before.  The guys would do their thing in the mornings, grabbing breakfast or taking a walk. The ladies would go on a daily walk on the beach or take the hills to the top pool area.  Did I say hills?  Actually, they are more like small mountains.   Quite the task and workout.  I decided to challenge myself to running these” mountains” and steep steps. I was amazed at my continued accomplishment and I would usually cross paths with the ladies to then plan to meet for breakfast.  For me, only after my continued workout at the gym. Some mornings some of us would go to the beautiful chapel and take time for some quiet prayer to be thankful and remember those who have gone before us.

The food and libations at the resort are always amazing and never are you wanting for anything.  We went to some amazing special dinners at their high-end restaurants and other nights at the market place or other.   One evening, after walking around the marina area for a bit, we took the most wonderful dinner cruise at sunset.  It was an amazing yacht style sail boat. The whole trip including the food, drinks and service were amazing.  We know we will do that once again next time.  Worth every penny.

Part of our amenities are the ability to utilize their sister resorts if we like for the day. So, on our last day we ventured off to the beach over there so we could sit on the beach and be able to go in the water.  The surf at our resort is way too rough because if its location. This gave us some beachside time and a chance for our group photo in our reunion shirts. Along this beach there are local mariachi bands strolling along, vendors hawking their wares and great food/beverage service from the resort right to your chair.  It was toasty, but lots of laughs and cool drinks.

The days flew by and it was time to venture home.   Hasta la próxima (until next time)

And the sun sets on yet another great trip.

Love you get you to come along one year. Hills would kill your knees and even getting in and out of the shuttles. But I know you could do it.
