It’s amazing that we have been on the road for over a year already. How that time flew by. We circled back to SC briefly so that we could take care of a few maintenance items, organize and purge and pick up some items from storage etc. And being the Deighan’s, none of this comes without complications. One of the major things needing to be done was replacing our front cockpit windows on both driver and passenger sides. Now to make this saga short…. we WERE supposed to have this done last Nov when we came back to SC. Unfortunately, the one window was delayed and never made it by the time we had to leave. So, we had to schedule to return to SC. We got the camper all emptied from food etc. to go to the service place for 2 days only to find out once they started that they received 2 of the same side windows and not the driver’s side. This was a disaster. The reason the manufacturer was replacing these for us was due to them fogging up and causing difficulty seeing the side mirrors clearly while driving. We proceeded with getting the one installed and then had a painful 3 weeks of phone BS trying to get the right window manufactured and sent. And of course, this wasn’t going to happen while we were still in town. Thankfully our service people are amazing and they offered to again receive the window once shipped and hold it for almost another year until we can make it back. Now, we await shipping information and will DEFINITELY confirm this time upon delivery that it’s the right one.
